How can we aid sleep at home?
Just like you would with a baby, a good bedtime routine is essential.
Set a target of 7-9 hours per night. But work up to that if you are falling short.
Screen off 2 hours before bed. Try reading a book, or cuddling and/or talking to a loved one.
Avoid pharmaceutical sleep aids. A study on the Woman’s Health Initiative showed an increase in all-cause mortality and cardiovascular deaths with long term use.
Lavender is an amazing sleep aid and comes in many forms and is wonderful in a bath before bed.
